Inspiration and Style
I create illustrative realism paintings inspired by places that invite you to pause, breathe and feel lighter. My work focuses on calming yet vibrant landscapes, often featuring seascapes, architecture, rolling countryside, and the quiet presence of animals.
Through colour, light and detail, I aim to enhance joy and offer a sense of escape - small windows into places that feel peaceful, familiar, or quietly magical.
My artistic journey began with a background in interior design, where i developed a strong foundation in perspective drawing, composition and spatial awareness. This training continues to influence my paintings today.
Later, I was inspired by the work of a seascape painter, which reignited my love for painting. While bringing up a young family, I attended weekly art classes, developing my style and confidence as an artist. Painting became a creative outlet and source of calm - this has shaped not only how I work by why I paint.
Each piece is created with care and intention, balancing realism with an illustrative softness. My hope is that my paintings bring warmth, tranquility and a quiet sense of happiness into your space.
